The text after the @ is actually our LDAP DN. However, if we didn t know that (and assuming we couldn t ask our AD administrator), there is another place we can look to find that information. Select Start Control Panel System and choose the Computer Name tab. In the System Properties dialog box, we can see the domain, which is listed as domain.localdomain in the example in Figure 13-10. This value can be used in our LDAP DN string. Next, we go into our APEX application and create a new authentication scheme. We need to give the hostname and port of the server on which AD is running, and enter the LDAP DN string, as shown in Figure 13-11.

The default is crs, which is sufficient unless you intend to manage more than one cluster using EM Grid Control. Initially, only details of the installation node will be shown. These include the public node name, private node name, and virtual hostname. By default, the private node name has a -priv suffix, and the virtual host name as a - vip suffix. We suggest that you follow these Oracle-defined standards if possible. If you have a large number of nodes, then you may wish to specify the node list in a cluster configuration file.
